General Towing Questions

Yes. Bugs Towing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for towing and roadside assistance throughout Colorado Springs and the surrounding Pikes Peak region. Breakdowns and accidents don't always happen during business hours, so you can call us whenever you need help.

There isn't one set price for every tow. The cost depends on the type of vehicle, where it is located, how far it needs to go, and the type of towing or recovery needed. Give us a call with the details and we'll let you know what to expect.

That depends on where you are, traffic, weather, and how busy our trucks are when you call. With 18+ trucks ready to go, we're equipped to respond throughout Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. Give us your location and we'll give you the best estimate we can.

The most important thing is to tell us where your vehicle is and what happened. We'll also need to know what type of vehicle you have and where you need it to go if you already know. If the vehicle is stuck, damaged, or somewhere difficult to access, let us know that too.

Yes. A vehicle that won't start is one of the most common reasons people call a towing company. If you're not sure if you need a tow or roadside assistance, just tell us what's going on and we'll help you figure out the next step.

In many situations, yes. A family member, friend, employee, or someone else may be able to arrange the tow. Just make sure the person calling has the vehicle information, location, and any other details we'll need.

We can take your vehicle to a repair shop, dealership, home, storage location, or another destination that works for your situation. Let us know where you need it to go when you call so we can make the proper arrangements.

If you can safely move your vehicle out of traffic, do so and turn on your hazard lights. Stay in a safe location while you wait. If you're in a dangerous spot or your vehicle is blocking traffic, tell us when you call so our driver knows what to expect.

Junk Car FAQs

Auto salvage yards are an alternative for selling used junk cars, however, there is a downside… salvage yards tend to underprice vehicles to maximize their earnings. We want to give you the best price possible when selling your battle-worn vehicle. On top of that, with a salvage yard, you have to get the vehicle to their location adding expenses that will cut away at your junk car price. We are a local tow company on-top of a used car purchaser. This means we remove the car for you which will save your hard earned cash for your clunker.

Great question! The typical price at junkyards is about $150 per ton. The typical weight of a junk car puts the math at about $300, but keep in mind that if a car has parts that can be reused, then a car can be worth much more than that. Every circumstance is different, so it is worth taking the time to let us know about your car as best as possible. This will ensure the top dollar for your junk car.

Typically, if you have lost the title but can prove ownership of the vehicle, there is still a chance we can buy and remove your junk car. Items such as an old registration can help in the process. Abandoned vehicles, unfortunately, cannot be sold or removed at this time. We are happy to help with the process. Just give us a call and we will help you if this circumstance applies to you.

You will want to get a payoff quote from your lender so you know exactly what is owed. Your title will need to be free and clear before you can sell it. You will want to pay off the loan of the car in a single attempt so we can legally purchase the car. This can delay the sale and removal of your junker but is entirely possible depending on your circumstances.

Yes! One of the benefits of selling your junk car to a local towing company is that you don't have to figure out how to get a vehicle that doesn't run to the buyer. Give us the vehicle's location and some information about the car and we'll help arrange the removal.

Abandoned vehicles can be more complicated because ownership and authorization have to be established before a vehicle can be sold or removed. If you have an abandoned vehicle situation, give us a call and we'll let you know what information or documentation may be needed.
